Room is a curated community that allows you to meet members that are in the same room as you, right away.

In a world of dating apps where your next connection is only “one swipe away”, we miss out on meeting new people who are in the same place as us at the same time. This means missed meaningful connections - a new friend, a partner, a co-founder - with people who we already have something in common with: the place that we’re both at. Our goal is to encourage meeting like-minded individuals organically, and make it easier to do so using technology.

HOW IT WORKS

Specific location based: Once your application has been accepted and you become a member, Room uses your location to show you profiles of members who are in the same room as or within distance from you. Examples of places you can use Room are restaurants, coffee shops, airports, bars, conferences, local parks, beaches and many more.

Spend less time swiping: No swiping on individual profiles, see multiple members who are in the same place as you on one screen…just like you can in real life.

And more time connecting: If you want to take it offline, send them a message and agree on a meeting point. Skip the small talk, and meet them in person right away.

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER

Room is a members-only curated community. We are a community of authentic, passionate and driven individuals. We focus on quality over quantity.

To become a member, download the app and fill in the application form. Please note that your social media or LinkedIn handle is only used to verify your identity. We aren’t checking for the number of followers, or likes, or anything like that.

Your application will automatically be placed on a waiting list to be reviewed by our membership team. You will be notified if your application has become successful.
